Other Activities include:
Feasibility of a Churchill Bronze Statue to be
donated by the Society for public display in Vancouver
Hundreds of newly published Churchill books
being distributed to the BC school system free of charge by the Society
Tape recordings of previous Society guest
Speakers from the 1960’s onwards being digitized for distribution on CD.
Reviewing yearly essay submissions for the
Society's Memorial Scholarship and awarding scholarships to the winners. The
annual essay contest is open to undergraduate
students at UBC and SFU. Our objective is to encourage young people to look
to Churchill as their role model for leadership in today’s changing and
complex world.
There are many opportunities for people who
would like to contribute some of their time or funds to these other activities.
